Blackberry Kembali Mengalami Kerugian

Awan hitam nampaknya masih setia menemani langkah BlackBerry. Dalam laporan terbarunya, perusahaan kembali mengalami kerugian sebesar USD4,4 miliar pada kuartal ketiga 2014. 



Dilansir Digital Spy, Sabtu (21/12/2013), produsen ponsel asal Kanada itu hanya mengapalkan 1,9 juta unit smartphone. Turun drastis dari laporan yang sama pada tahun lalu dengan 3,7 juta unit. 



Meskipun kembali merugi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) BlackBerry tetap optimis jika perusahaan mampu bangkit.

“Tantangan utama bagi perusahaan adalah bagaimana melakukan transisi dari perangkat ke sektor model bisnis yang lebih menguntungkan,” kata Chen. 

Seperti diketahui, platform BlackBerry 10 dan handset Z10 serta Q10 terbukti gagal dalam mematahkan duopoli dari Apple, Samsung, dan Windows Phone. 

 Sejak Januari, hanya 4,6 juta unit BlackBerry 10 yang terjual, sementara perusahaan menjual 3,2 juta smartphone berbasis BlackBerry 7.
