Apple mengeluarkan pembaruan perangkat lunak untuk mengatasi kerentanan terhadap celah keamanan Spectre. Pekan lalu Apple mengkonfirmasi bahwa perangkat Mac dan iOS rentan terhadap celah Meltdown dan Spectre yang belakangan ini menggemparkan dunia teknologi.

Sebelum mengeluarkan update untuk mengatasi Spectre, Apple telah terlebih dahulu mengeluarkan update untuk kerentanan Meltdown di iOS 11.2 dan macOS 10.13.2.


Kini, update untuk mengatasi celah keamanan Spectre, iOS 11.2.2 dan macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 telah dirilis. Keduanya sudah tersedia untuk diunduh dan dipasang ke perangkat yang didukung oleh perangkat lunak tersebut.

Safari juga telah diupdate dengan 11.0.2 di MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 dan OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 untuk tujuan yang sama.

Penting untuk dicatat, bahwa kerentanan terhadap Spectre sedang dikurangi, bukan diperbaiki, dengan solusi berbasis Safari, karena masalah celah keamanan tersebut berhubungan dengan arsitektur CPU dan bukan masalah perangkat lunak.

Installing macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 Supplemental Update will update Safari to version 11.0.2 (13604.4.7.1.6) or version 11.0.2 (13604.4.7.10.6).

To check the version of Safari installed on your Mac:

1. Open Safari.
2. Choose Safari > About Safari.
